As an extension of our Step Into The Circle: Writers in Modern Appalachia project, we will be creating and curating an exhibit of photographs and excepts from the book. The public exhibits will take place in colleges & universities, museums, libraries, and galleries across Southern Appalachia. Please see our current schedule below. 

*Due to the wonderful opportunity we had recently to exhibit at The Knoxville Museum of Art, we will be expanding our exhibits schedule. We are in the process of planning several public library and gallery exhibits throughout the East TN. and  Southwestern VA. region. Details and dates coming soon! 

Exhibit Schedule

Maryville College: January 2~4, 2019

Opening night event and reception on January 2 from 6 to 7:30 PM in the Blackberry Farm Gallery at Clayton Center for the Arts.

Walters State Community College: February 1~2, 2019

An exhibit perviewing our upcoming art book release of Step Into The Circle: Writers in Modern Appalachia. 

Knoxville Museum of Art: April 9~May19, 2019

This exhibit will highlight the photographers which have contributed to the  Step Into The Circle: Writers In A Modern Appalachia book project. 

Univeristy of Virginia-Wise: September 16-23, 2019

In addition to the exhibit, and in collaboration with The Center For Appalachian Studies, a two day symposium on September 16 & 17 will take place.

Mildred Hahn Conference - Walters State Community College: February 7-8, 2020

We will be curating an exhibit and leading a symposium of The Writers In Modern Appalachia project, at the 2020 Mildred Hahn Conference.
